 | Monday, June 2nd, 2014: Hot Hitter Wins EL Award It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Eastern League, but last week Stephen Mamsurov of the Ponce Leones reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Mamsurov rocked opposing pitching for a .750 average (9-12), 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Mamsurov is hitting at a .280 pace with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. He has played in 45 games and scored 12 times. |
