GUBA Single A News Article | | | Saturday, May 24th, 2014: Stickfigures García Gone for Year The doctors have spoken and José García of the Travelers Rest Stickfigures didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. García sustained his season-ending injury during the Rochester Loons game yesterday at Ballpark of Traveler's Rest. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Travelers Rest medical staff reported García had a ruptured tricep tendon and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.
In the current season in 11 starts, José García has a record of 3-5 with 54 strikeouts in 65 innings and a 3.18 ERA. | |
