 | Saturday, May 3rd, 2014: Allen Cracks 5 Hits All game long Madagascar's Carl Allen was rattling the walls at Dragons Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Long Island Black Riders. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Dragons had a 11-3 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 23-year-old center fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." C. Allen singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. In his season totals Allen has 1 home run and a .359 batting average. |
