 | Monday, April 28th, 2014: Big Day with Bat: Lazutkin 5-6 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Pavlov Lazutkin showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Madagascar Dragons and helped the Tasmanian Devils beat them 17-4. The manager for the Dragons told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Lazutkin keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. P. Lazutkin singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off E. Kielekea in the 8th. Lazutkin is hitting .394 in 2014 with 1 home run, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 99 at-bats and played in 25 games. |
