 | Thursday, April 17th, 2014: Dickey Torches Kielbasa for 5 Hits Michael Dickey told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Dickey of the Ponce Leones did against the Kieice Kielbasa. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Kielbasa, who suffered a 6-5 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." M. Dickey singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th. To date, Dickey has collected 19 hits for a .487 average. He has posted 1 home run, scored 5 runs and driven in 7 runs. |
