 | Sunday, May 26th, 2013: 5-Hits Blitz by González 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Ernesto González of the Reno Big Littles had a sensational 5-5 game against Saskatoon at Big Littles Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 6-5 shellacking of the Pioneers. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, skipper?" E. González singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This year González has hit at a .290 clip with 56 hits, 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
