 | Tuesday, May 14th, 2013: Slammers Pitching Ravaged by Berger 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Petaluma's Arthur Berger had a very special day against the Slammers when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Petaluma Atheists to a 15-2 win at Atheists Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Berger said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." A. Berger hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. González in the 8th. This year Berger is batting .380 with 57 hits, 1 home run, 25 RBIs, 14 walks, .440 OBP and has scored 23 runs. |
