That's what the fans at Atheists Stadium got to see today, when Petaluma outplayed the Slammers 15-2. Ramón Lichinchi of the Atheists came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Boston.
In the postgame press conference the Boston skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
R. Lichinchi singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
Lichinchi is hitting at a .340 mark this season. His stats show 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played 38 games for the Atheists. | |
