 | Wednesday, August 8th, 2012: Charnetsky Sensational, 5-7 Ilia Charnetsky had an answer for everything the Dover Dynamo threw him today in the Anchorage 25-2 triumph at Anchorage Grounds. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Anchorage center fielder went 5 for 7 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to SION writers after the game, Charnetsky said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." I. Charnetsky hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. So far this year Charnetsky is batting .357 with 3 home runs, 51 RBIs and 71 runs scored. |
