 | Friday, June 1st, 2012: WL Top Pitcher Award for May to Sabola Hizkaias Sabola really put his best foot forward in May with 4 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month honors in the Western League. When he got the start for the Long Neck Black Crows, it was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 44.1 innings of work, Sabola limited opposing batters to 33 base hits and a .206 batting average. He notched 27 strikeouts, issued 9 walks and had a 1.22 ERA. Thus far this season Sabola has posted a 6-2 record, started 12 games, struck out 44 batters in 73 innings and compiled a 3.21 ERA. |
