 | Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014: Grizzlies Chill Wright's Hot Streak The Victoria Grizzlies pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Sterling Wright hitless in 5 at-bats during a 3-0 victory over the Radom Perogies at Pierogies Ballpark. This disappointing performance ended his 20-game hitting streak. "I'm a little down right now," Wright told BNN after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me and I hated to see the streak end, too." In his stats this season, Wright has posted a batting average of .280 with 129 hits in 460 at-bats, 5 home runs and 50 RBIs. He has also scored 65 runs, walked 26 times and compiled a .325 OBP. |
