 | Monday, July 14th, 2014: Vélez Sizzles -- Smokes Ninjas for 5 Hits History in the making. That's what the fans at Patagonia Grounds got to see today, when Patagonia outplayed the Ninjas 12-5. Arturo Vélez of the Giant Sloths came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Niigata. In the postgame press conference the Niigata skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it.
