The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Captains reliever suffered a torn rotator cuff muscle while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Arlington Heights Godzillas. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal. Thus far in 2014, López has saved 1 games. His won-lost mark is 1 win and 2 losses with 7 strikeouts in 13.2 innings, along with a 1.98 ERA. |
