In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-6... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too." J. Marte singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far in 2014 Marte is hitting .407 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 37 hits and played in 39 games. |
