 | Monday, June 16th, 2014: Santiago Wins WL Player of the Week Trophy 20-year-old Manuel Santiago made a few Kingston headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Western League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .458 average. Santiago collected 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Santiago is currently hitting at a .324 pace with 9 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 38 times. |
