 | Saturday, June 7th, 2014: Gonzáles Blisters Arlington Heights Eduardo Gonzáles exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Ballpark of Niigata. The Niigata left fielder had a field day in the 14-1 triumph over the Arlington Heights Godzillas, finishing with a 5-6 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Gonzáles must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. E. Gonzáles flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Gonzáles has hit .371 with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
