In the Mariners 12-2 win over Tennessee, Ricardo León was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Mariners Ballpark. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this was a special once-in-a-lifetime chance for the record book. On the last hit, I was ready to swing at anything close, I was that excited. That's why my third base coach called time and told me, 'Calm down and wait for a good pitch.' That got me back on track and I nailed the first one in the strike zone." On his record-setting day León delivered 5 hits in 5 at-bats, a day he will not soon forget. R.
