 | Sunday, May 4th, 2014: Miura Bangs out 5 Base Hits There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Masaaki Miura of the Tijuana Potros had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 5-1 win over the Kalookan Milkfish at Potros Ballpark. The 22-year-old third baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." M. Miura singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Miura is hitting .313 in 2014 with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 80 at-bats and played in 27 games. |
