Ferdynand Cempa went 5 for 6 against the Robert Redford Presents The Sundance Kids at Field of the Brawlers and the Brawlers picked up a 15-4 victory. He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted second baseman was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room. "He was patient up there today," the Perth skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Cempa has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." F. Cempa singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. So far this year Cempa has hit .339 with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 8 runs scored. |
