 | Thursday, July 4th, 2013: Ramírez Cracks 5 Hits Pedro Ramírez exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Anchorage Grounds. The Anchorage third baseman had a field day in the 15-2 triumph over the Robert Redford Presents The Sundance Kids, finishing up with a 5-6 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Ramírez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. P. Ramírez singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Ramírez is swinging at a .322 pace on the year with no home runs, 30 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 74 games. |
