 | Wednesday, June 26th, 2013: Radom Gets Shutout Win Over Pints In an almost effortless performance, Sergio Cervantes of the Perogies shot down the Pints 2-0 on a 3-hit shutout. His skipper said, "Sergio was just locating so well and using his pitches...not leaving anything over the plate." Cervantes recorded 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, the Derry manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him." In 2013 Cervantes has compiled a 4-2 mark with a 4.34 ERA in 9 starts. In pitching 56 innings he has 35 strikeouts and 21 walks while limiting the opposition to a .265 batting average. |
