But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Abraham Slater showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Hawaii Typhoon and helped the Shanghai Raiders beat them 15-2. The manager for the Typhoon told the SION sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Slater keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. A. Slater singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th.
