 | Monday, June 24th, 2013: Super Swinger Snags WL Player of the Week A hot-hitting week got Chun-yeong Ch'oe the Western League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Seoul center fielder slammed them for a .522 average, 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 1 home run, 13 RBIs and scored 5 runs. In the postgame press conference, Ch'oe shared his hitting philosophy with the SION scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them...nothin' more than that." This year Ch'oe is batting .286 with 79 hits, 5 home runs, 58 RBIs, 26 walks, .354 OBP and has scored 35 runs. |
