 | Saturday, June 1st, 2013: Kikuchi Takes Best Bat Award in May When it came to hitting the baseball, Tomomi Kikuchi had few Eastern League peers in May. The first baseman for Seattle mauled opposing pitchers for a .326 batting average and was voted the league's best batter for the month. He finished up with some strong stats: 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and 20 runs scored, 8 walks and a .393 on-base percentage. Currently Kikuchi is batting .321 with 17 home runs and 44 RBIs. |
