 | Monday, May 6th, 2013: Fret Batters Samoan Big Time! "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Melbourne second baseman Olaf Fret said to SION reporters after his fantastic 6-6 day against the Samoan Navigators at Admirals Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Admirals had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 12-5. O. Fret tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Á. Ruíz in the 7th and doubled in the 8th. This year Fret has hit at a .320 clip with 40 hits, 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
