 | Monday, August 6th, 2012: Throwing Stars Thompson Smacks 5 Hits! It was a parade of hits for Damian Thompson of the Yokoham Throwing Stars...one right after another...a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Royal City Outlaws for 5 hits in his 6 at-bats and propelled the Throwing Stars to a 7-2 victory. "Thompson was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Outlaws manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." D. Thompson singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this season Thompson is hitting .274 with 4 home runs, 38 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He has 116 hits in 423 at-bats and has played in 110 games. |
