 | Wednesday, July 11th, 2012: Great Stroke! Ibarra Gets 5 Hits! It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Javier Ibarra. It was very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Ibarra went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Syracuse pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at Outlaws Ballpark, he had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Royal City Outlaws had a 11-6 victory over the Spartans. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he laughed in the SION postgame interview. J. Ibarra singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Ibarra is hitting .336 with no home runs. |
