 | Wednesday, June 13th, 2012: Shimizu 5-5 for New Orleans It was a sensational day at the plate for Mitsuzuka Shimizu as he led the charge to a 11-3 win over the Prancing Pansies. The New Orleans right fielder was pure misery for the Pacolet pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Prancing Pansies told SION reporters after the game, "Shimizu put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." M. Shimizu hit a two-run home run off D. Voermans in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, doubled in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. |
