The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." He was talking about Mario Martínez, who had just hurled a fine 6-hit shutout over the Caracas Roughnecks. He had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the Samoan 7-0 victory. "An outstanding job," the Caracas manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." |
