 | Friday, August 1st, 2014: July's Best Hurler in WL is Palmer In July, Blake Palmer tore through the Western League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 23 years old. The young San Diego starter posted a 5-1 mark and an ERA of 2.03 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 53.1 innings he collected 59 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .189 average. This year Palmer has a 12-4 record with a 2.10 ERA. |
