 | Thursday, July 31st, 2014: Streak Finally Over, Pak Hitless The hitting streak that Quezon City first baseman Ki-heon Pak had going was ended today by the New Orleans Crawdads. Pak, who had hits in his previous 20 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Pearls a 14-5 victory at Pearls Ballpark. He was hitless in 4 at-bats. "Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." So far this year Pak is batting .313 with 13 home runs, 68 RBIs and 64 runs scored. |
