 | Friday, July 11th, 2014: Bermúdez Collects Cycle New Orleans's Carlos Bermúdez had a great game in the 8-7 loss to the Port-au-Prince Liberators. The Crawdads first baseman went 4-for-4, including hitting for the cycle, but his club went down to defeat anyway. "Everything they threw him, he was swatting around the field," said the New Orleans skipper. "It really was a spectacular performance for Carlos. It's a shame we couldn't win the game, too." C. Bermúdez hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off V. Thornton in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Bermúdez is swinging at a .295 pace on the year with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 20 games. |
