Tuesday, June 24th, 2014: Liberators Lima Out Rest Of Season
The doctors have spoken and Felipe Lima of the Port-au-Prince Liberators didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lima sustained his season-ending injury during the Quezon City Pearls game yesterday at Port-au-Prince Fields. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while making a defensive play. Today the Port-au-Prince medical staff reported Lima had a herniated disc and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.

This season Lima has hit 5 home runs and posted a .319 batting average.
