 | Monday, June 9th, 2014: Whalers Herrera Silences Claxton Vincente Herrera was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Claxton Blue Knights 4-0 on 3 hits and had 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. "You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Claxton skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Hartford Whalers. "He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes." This season Herrera has worked 33 innings with 18 strikeouts en route to a 2-3 record and a 3.55 ERA. |
