 | Thursday, May 29th, 2014: Ortega Goes 5-5 Against Phoenix Today the Schooners downed the Talons 19-4 as Domingo Ortega sprayed hits all over Ballpark of West Freehold in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The West Freehold right fielder said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." D. Ortega hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off R. Gates in the 8th. Presently Ortega is batting .318 and has collected 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, .378 OBP and scored 42 runs. |
