 | Friday, May 9th, 2014: Figueroa Goes 5-5 Against Claxton Today the Freedoms downed the Blue Knights 5-4 as José Figueroa sprayed hits all over Ballpark of Philadelphia in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The Philadelphia center fielder said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." J. Figueroa doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th. So far this year in 34 games Figueroa is hitting .344 with 3 home runs, 31 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
