 | Monday, May 5th, 2014: Super Swinger Snags WL Player of the Week It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Western League, but last week Jesús Pérez of the Melbourne Admirals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Pérez rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (11-22), 1 home run and 10 RBIs to come away with the award. Pérez has a .308 average and a .368 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 37 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 19 runs. |
