 | Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014: 20-Game Hitting Streak for Núñez Syracuse's António Núñez was 2-4 in the Spartans 7-1 victory over the New Delhi Llamas. That stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. In the clubhouse after the win, the 33-year-old Núñez told reporters, "I'm in a groove right now, and I am trying to stay there by doing the same things over and over again. If I change something, it might bring me bad luck." A. Núñez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off J. Bennett in the 7th. |
