GUBA Triple A News Article | | | Friday, June 21st, 2013: Carl Brantley Out for 1-2 Weeks Carl Brantley at first refused to leave today's Rome-Samoan game after he suffered dead arm syndrome while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Samoan reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Brantley out of action for 1-2 weeks.
This year Brantley has registered no saves in no relief appearances. He has also compiled a 5-4 won-lost mark with a 3.97 ERA. In 95.1 innings he has fanned 33. | |
