 | Friday, June 14th, 2013: Nashville Gets Shutout Win Over Gladiators In a knockout performance, Alberto Guevara beat the Gladiators 5-0 with an impressive 6-hit shutout. The Sounds hurler finished with 1 strikeout and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. Guevara told reporters after the game, "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working ...it don't get any better than this." The Gladiators manager said, "It was a rough one for my guys. We weren't at our best...and their guy was." In 2013 Guevara has logged 5 wins and 8 losses and struck out 20 batters in 89.2 innings while compiling a 4.42 ERA. |
