Friday, July 1st, 2022: Jamie Birtles hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Western League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice.
In June the Chihuahua starter earned a 4-0 mark in 6 starts. He threw 44 innings, struck out 34 and compiled a solid 1.64 ERA.
In the current season in 17 starts, Jamie Birtles has a record of 8-6 with 111 strikeouts in 115.1 innings and a 2.73 ERA.

Friday, July 1st, 2022: June was a very good month for Marvin Wilton of the St. Paul Swing. He held opposing hitters for a .189 average and took home the Eastern League Pitcher of the Month award.
In 6 starts he claimed a 5-0 record as he put up a 0.90 ERA and struck out 34 in 50 innings.
In 8 starts this season Wilton has rung up a 6-1 record and a 1.24 ERA.

Friday, July 1st, 2022: When Anastasio Martínez stepped up to the plate in June, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Western League Batter of the Month award.
The young Indianapolis first baseman posted a .402 batting average with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 15 runs. Martínez also worked pitchers for 6 walks to post a .450 on-base percentage.
For the season, Martínez is hitting at a .315 clip with 11 home runs, 44 RBIs and has scored 39 runs. He has 81 hits, 20 walks and a .368 on-base percentage.
