 | Sunday, November 11th, 2012: Zhao-ying Zhong Named Premier FIBB Batsman This season's premier hitter in the Federation of International Baseball was Zhao-ying Zhong. He went on a hitting spree early this season and just never stopped, finishing up with a .295 batting average and claiming the 2012 Centrum Silver Slugger Award. The Johannesburg second baseman battered opposing pitchers for 168 hits, 35 doubles, 5 triples, 33 home runs and 115 RBIs while scoring 107 times. The annual SBWA awards dinner is this weekend. All of the major award winners will be there to receive their trophies for their outstanding achievements this past season. |
