 | Wednesday, May 1st, 2013: Johnson On Fire! 5-5 for New York! At Knights Ballpark James Johnson of the New York Knights put on a hitting clinic today against Buffalo. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled Bisons pitching, but came up short in the win department. In spite of his standout 5-hit performance, the Bisons captured the game by the score of 4-3. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," were his words in the postgame interview. J. Johnson hit a solo-shot off A. Icaza in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In the 2013 campaign Johnson has hit at a .358 clip with 9 RBIs, 3 home runs and 15 runs scored. |
