He was injured against the New York Knights while throwing a pitch. Diagnosed as a finger blister, the Buffalo starting pitcher is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. Icaza was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
Thus far this season Icaza has posted a 2-0 record, started 6 games, struck out 31 batters in 34.1 innings and compiled a 2.88 ERA. | |
