Global Unified Baseball Association News Article | |  | Friday, September 14th, 2012: Ito Guns Down Mounties "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Vancouver manager after his club suffered a 5-0 shutout at the hands of Yasuhide Ito of the Manhattan Myst. He held the Vancouver Mounties scoreless in a 4-hit whitewash.
Ito was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Yasuhide did a whale of a pitching job."
In pitching stats this season Ito has rung up 14 wins and 8 losses in 29 games. He has an ERA of 3.58 and has fanned 191 batters in 211 innings. | |
