 | Sunday, September 9th, 2012: Ramírez Cracks 5 Hits José Ramírez told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Ramírez of the Warsaw Falcons did against the Dublin Shamrocks. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Shamrocks, who suffered a 5-0 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." J. Ramírez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. In 2012 Ramírez is hitting .292, batted in 69 runs with 14 home runs and 70 runs scored. |
