Saturday, September 1st, 2012: Okubo Hits 3 Homers Against Warsaw
Sao Paulo first baseman Ryosei Okubo sensed he was going to have a good game at the plate, but he underestimated just a little bit. Prior to the game, Okubo predicted he would hit a home run against the Warsaw Falcons.

During batting practice he told his teammates, "I really got my swing down pat. I feel some thunder in the lumber. I'm gonna get me a home run in this game."

He was right. He did hit a home run -- three of them, in fact -- pacing the Surf over the Falcons 5-1.

"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Okubo told SION reporters after the game.

To go along with the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs.

R. Okubo flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off L. Lessard in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off L. Lessard in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off L. Lessard in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

This season Okubo is hitting .291 with 155 hits, 39 home runs, 100 RBIs, scored 88 runs and played in 130 games.
