 | Tuesday, August 21st, 2012: Jones Bangs 3 HR Against Havana Dewey Jones, the San Juan right fielder, blasted 3 home runs today at San Juan Fields in the Tiberones 10-7 victory against the Havana Perfectos. For the game, Dewey Jones scored 3 times and knocked in 3 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Jones, when he reached home plate. In the clubhouse after the game, he gleefully commented to the press, "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-3, 3 home runs and a win -- what a day!" This season Jones is batting .255 with 63 RBIs, 58 runs scored and 26 home runs. |
