Global Unified Baseball Association News Article | | | Friday, August 17th, 2012: On a Roll, Hamada Hits for the Cycle It was a special day at Ballpark of Paris for Takeji Hamada at the plate, not only did he contribute to the Guillotines 8-6 win over the Yankees, he hit for the cycle.
"Boy, Takeji had a game, didn't he? It's a rare player that has the talent to hit for the cycle. It takes speed, power and maybe a little luck, too. You don't see this happen very often." the Paris manager said.
Hamada went 6-7 on the day, raised his batting average to .857 and had 3 RBI and 2 runs scored -- and he got his name in the record book, too.
T. Hamada singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off A. White in the 14th.
Thus far this year Hamada has hit .304 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs. | |
