 | Monday, August 13th, 2012: Havana's Reyes FIBB Star of the Week It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Federation of International Baseball, but last week Jorge Reyes of the Havana Perfectos reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Reyes rocked opposing pitching for a .519 average (14-27), 2 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Reyes has gotten 146 hits in 468 at-bats for a .312 batting average with 15 home runs. His stats include 68 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has played in 116 games. |
